Just back from up that way on a one day trip, sort of a scouting trip for future expeditions. We were a bit surprised at the number and range of places along the way when maps seem to indicate that it is a wasteland. Lots of surfer style options and one very nice place (of several) that we inspected was Puri Dajuna Cottages at Pekutan which is a few K's short of Negara. Not one of Bali's cheapest but reasonable value for a new father and mother perhaps?
