We just returned from Bali and spent 5 delightful days at Villa Uma near Ubud. The villa is in a spectacular location on a hillside overlooking jungle and rice paddies. The villa itself has two huge bedrooms with outdoor, ensuite baths. As the villa is hillside, the baths seem to float in the air, surrounded by jungle foliage. Access to the villa is via a walk through a rice paddy so you can see the grain up close, the irrigation system, the scarecrows. At night, the insect symphony is amazing and a great novelty for urban dwellers like us. The cicada and frog sections were particularly delightful.
