For the amed area(actually a litle out of Amed a place called Lipah Bbay)2 great little hotels one called Coral View hotel, and the other, Pondok Vienna Hotel. Theses are both beachside. Coral View has a pool, Pondok Vienna doesn't.
The best snorkelling is in front of Pondok Vienna, but to have the best of both worlds (pool and good snorkelling), book Coral View and take a 5 minute walk and snorkel in front of the Pondok Vienna Hotel. Good luck with your searching endeavours. Cheers Tinggading
