1. declare it at customs
2. try and keep it all in one bag - unlike me on my first trip- had to pull all our bags apart - not funny!
3. check for wood borers - little holes in the timber
4. light wood ok as well as the expensive timber ( I dont like thew dark timber myself).
I brought back a buddha head for the wall painted gold, ganeesha statue 14 inches or so high; 6 x wooden ginger flowers; serviette flower holders; all which I sprayed with pea beau insect stuff as well before leaving bali "just in case".
