We have been to Bali numerous times and we find it very convenient to work out before we go how much we are going to spend daily and put that amount into envelopes eg. 10 nights = 10 envelopes of $100. We then place the envelopes in the safety deposit box and draw one out each day and exchange at the going rate. We avoid TC like the plague.
