I visited Geneva twice and on one of the trips, took a taxi there which dropped us off.
When it came time (about 2.30pm) to hail a Bluebird cab back to the hotel, it took ages for the right cab to come along, as most of the Blue cabs already had passengers.
I had told my friend Kerry, who was on her first trip to Bali, to hail a blue cab ONLY. However, when I wasn't looking, she hailed a dark blue one, which was in fact a Bali Taxi. After he'd reversed back to where we were standing, I told him that we didn't want his services after all. Well that was it, we copped a mouthful of very bad language with lots of the "F" word. Poor Kerry was mortified, but I thought it was a good learning experience, and we laughed about it later on.
If we had an idea of the price, I would've used him anyway and bargained a "fair" charge, but we had taken the first cab via Golden Buffalo, and that involved "waiting" time also. So I really didn't have any idea of the approximate cost.
Getting the Geneva staff to call a bluebird cab sounds very sensible!
