Last trip I had a wad of brand spanking new Oz$50 notes with a tiny split in one end caused as they came out of the ATM. Had quite a bit of trouble cashing these for reasons I was never able to ascertain.
Even after I sellotaped up the split (which was about half a centimetre), they were regarded with suspicion. Don't know why.
