I always would buy the bulk of my purchases from the same Legian St market vendor. She always gives my friends and I a very good price straight up, no bargaining. Whilst I know that I could possibly get it for a bit cheaper again elsewhere I feel it is not worth it for the stress involved. But I am absolutely positive that my purchases from her are at a briliant price.
A few years ago she apologised for giving me a big red bag. I thought nothing of it because I figured it was the only bag she had big enough to accommodate 800,000 rupiah worth of boardies and T Shirts.
Walking back along Sahadewa St I was amazed at all the shop keepers who were alling out to me to buy from them, it was really out of the ordinary. It would all make sense if there really is a colour coding system because I would have looked like the biggest pushover out considering the volume of things I had in a red bag!!!
