This is my must do ubud list....
First of all check into your lovely hotel - I stayed there twice and loved it both times. I hope you get a room with an amazing view.
1. Go to Ubud market - experience it to shop during the day but also visit first thing in the morning when it sells food etc. Great photo opportunities, interesting experience.
2. Walk away from the centre of Ubud and find Murnis Warung.....mmmmmmmm.....yummmmmmm
3. It think there is some shadow puppets to look at along monkey forrest road
4. Go white water rafting - it was still 1 hour from Ubud but brilliant fun - also the elephant park is 1 hour above Ubud and brilliant.
5. Do your own batik at the cracked pot - good memento for home
6. Enjoy a massage.... there is a spa at your hotel (more expensive) - but also Zen spa and verona spa (both very cheap) are in Ubud and in my opinion are the best in bali.
7. Monkey Forrest - good for a few snaps - but I kinda find it scarey
8. Eat at lots of great places in ubud such as cafe Wayan and lotus
9. Save your leftovers and feed them to the very sad looking dogs on Monkey Forrest Road and my puppy in the market that I called spot - she is a wirey haired little pup
10. Laze around either pool at your hotel
11. Take some lovely photos of the grounds of your hotel - amazing tropical views
12. Go to Bali Zoo and have photos taken with birds etc... great day out
13. Visit some of the bars on Monkey Forrst road for a drink one night
14. There are some hidden salons behind the soccer oval in Ubud - go and get a "cream head" -mmmmmmmmmmm
