We recently spent 8 nights on the Padma and felt exactly the same as you in all aspects - LOVED the sunset bar and made a beeline at 5pm - rooms nice etc - but overall didnt have the feel of many other hotels we have stayed at in Bali. Good to hear we weren't on our own in our thoughts.
