As I have been to Bali a few times and done most of the Tourist kind of stuff it was to be a trip of relaxing by the pool and shopping.
With 3 teenager girls in hand we did exactly that. Mostly bought at surf shops and small boutiques. There were a few bargains to be had at the surf shops bought a billabong windcheater zip up for daughter for $50 and they are $90 at home so good saving there. Most things were between $10/30 saving although board shorts I felt were cheaper back home unless you bought the fakes from the markets which incidently were good quality.
Shoes were another great buy and good to see thew larger sizes now although if you have broard feet forget it.
Had some womens trousers made up at House of Komangs which you could not fault. Took an old pair and had copied perfect. Cost with their material 165,000rp (approx. $21) great value, although I wished I had brought my own material with me as there selection wasn't that great. I will definitely use them again. They even delivered to my Hotel free.
Homeware products definitely more available in Legian bought some lovely ornaments. Incidently if buying a few items ask for discount they usually obliged with around 10%. When I told my daughter I was going to ask she just cringed and said no way these prices are set. Don't ask don't get my moto.
More to come regarding braiding, mobiles, jewellery etc.
