... this is exactly how we approach Bali.
We want to give back, have given back, and will continue to give back.
We have given offerings (donation) to the primary school in Ubud,
we have set up a personal sponsorship of a child in Bali,
and have recently set up a small tour business with a Balinese
friend that we have known for 6 years. Although he has been working
as a tour guide for the past 12 years, we hope that this will
give him some independence and more of a drive (pardon the pun)
to do better (and make more money for his family).
If this is the philosophy in which you approach your trip to Bali,
then I wish you well.
