In June, thought the girls would have a nice dinner at poppies. Sat down ordered our drinks and then there was a scream from the next table. About a party of 12. A rat has ran accross the table jumped on a guys shoulder then onto the rafters. Screams from all and everyone jumped away from the table except one very brave man. All sat down again and other rat ran up a guys leg and jumped onto the rafter again. Much to my own stupidity still ordered, but the pate didn't quite taste the same. Should have left and gone somewhere else. Couldn't eat the meal, however the party of 12 left just before we did, and the very brave man who didn't jump up from the table was wheeled out in a wheelchair by one of his mates. Great mates, just let him sit there while the rats were running everywhere, saving their own buts. Poor bloke. This is a very true story, and I dont think Poppies will be the same again for me. Can laugh about it now, but wasn't happy at the time.
