Wine is very expensive in Bali. Your bags are X-rayed on arrival in Bali and they put a white chalk cross on your bag if there is something they see that they want to look at. I usually take cardboard water casks with me and don't have a problem. If ever I have taken bottles they are picked up on the X-ray and you usually have to pay some money to the customs guy. They ask for around $10 per bottle but it is usually negotiable.
