For RandR and other shoppers...
When I return from Bali, I will be writing DVD virus scanner and posting a link to it on this forum. In the mentime, this is all you need to do:
You Need a PC with DVD Drive to Check For DVD Virus
In WinXP and Win2000
--------------------
Open MyComputer and Right-Click on the icon for your DVD player.
Click on Search
Where it asks for "All or part of the file name", enter the following (without quotation marks): "*.hex;*.bin" then press Enter
NOTE: That's a semi-colon after the hex, not a comma.
Another Method
--------------
Open MyComputer and Right-Click on the icon for your DVD player.
Click on Explore.
You should ONLY see two folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS.
Go into both and liik for any files ending with ".hex" or ".bin".
NOTE:
-----
If you find any .hex or .bin files, do NOT use that DVD in a stand-lone player. However, it's ok to play it on your PC.
Anyone who would like me to send you the scanner, send an e-mail to baliorbust@we.web.do with "DVD SCANNER" in the subject somewhere.
Ciao!
Paul
