My, how I wish I could stay longer ;)
19 hours from Newark to Singapore (fortunately, a nonstop) and then three to Denpasar! But this is the longest period of time I've ever taken off of work by a landslide, so I'm already panicking about being gone so long. You have a great point about it not being long enough, though, so I'm thinking about bagging my rest day at Uluwatu and just doing Kuta-Ubud-Kuta.
And my wondering if I shouldn't identify myself as an American had less to do with looking like a Western mark and more to do with my country's screwed up foreign policy. I'd hate to have people lump me in with some of the things my government is doing. It sounds like it shouldn't be that big a problem, though.
