We are from the Uk and have found the best deals we can get are with Ebookers (www.ebookers.com), as long as you book at least 3 nights accomodation somewhere in your trip with them. It is best to ring them and ask for a quote - we have stayed a couple of nights each way in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur in previous years, and they organise this too. It is actually cheaper to get the deal including flight and three nights accomodation than to book only the flight with them. If you go via KL I think they quoted us under £600 with some accomodation, but I don't know how much extra it would be over Xmas.
