As promised for all frangipani lovers, here is the list of what I was able to find in Bali. No clocks unfortunately, but.........
- frangipani shell earrings - 5000rp each or 10 for 40,000rp @ various markets stalls
- frangipani floating candles (scented) - a pack of 10 for 5600rp @ Geneva
- 1 large frangi floating candle - 2,100 for 1 @ Geneva
- frangipani scented essential aromatherapy oil - 32,000rp @ DAUN shop
(very popular and they frequently run out of stock of this perfume. I bought the CHAMPAKA instead, which is the "Bali" scent, similar to Tuberose I think.)
- frangipani scented massage oil- at DAUN shop, I think for the same price, but didn't buy any
- frangipani scented hand made soap - 7,500rp at DAUN shop which is a fixed price shop opposite the Kuta Art Markets, next to the 3 jewellery shops.
- frangi decorated photo frames, 3 pieces with twine connectors - 22,500rp at Melasti Art markets
- frangi decorated large "diamond" shaped mirror - 25,000rp at Melasti Art markets
- fangipani design sarong - saw in a market stall between Dynasty and Ramada Bintang Hotels in Tuban, black with several colour choices of flowers -didn't price, but guess much the same as the "hibiscus" ones.Looked for them at Kuta markets, but didn't see any.
- frangipani painting - these were selling in Matahari for 95,000rp (small single flower) to around 250,000rp in water colour medium. I had one painted to order with colour choices of flowers (double blossom) and background in oil for 75,000rp ( their starting price was 150,000rp) at OKI PAINTING, Stall 2 at the Melasti Art Markets (the white buildings set back from the street in Jl Melasti with a wrought iron fence in the front). Wayan runs the stall and her husband Ketut Suarta paints the pictures. They are very well done, and much better than some of the "amateurish" efforts I saw at the Tuban end.Their address is: Art Market, Sari Nadi Blok No 2, Legian ph: 081 239 88924.
