i wouldnt stay longer if on your own tho. If you like thai food there is a brilliant thai resturuant called jasmine kitchen just off the main street down to the dolphin statue, on right ( cant find my card- its the last road on right before hitting the beach) Great meals! excellent prices.
Do the dolphin ride early one day ( 30,000R or $5 aus) which is lovely even if doplhins dont arrive!
