It's been many years since we had a child in a high chair but we found those clip on high chairs absolutely brilliant when we used to use them for our kids.We used to keep 1 in the boot in case we ever needed it.We even had a 2nd one that we left at one of the Grandma & Grandpa's place for when we visited.
I've suggest if you don't already have one to either ask around between your friends or try & pick one up at a garage sale or even a 2nd hand baby store. It wouldn't be expensive that way & they really don't weigh much.
I'm not really into looking for highchairs these days with our kids being teenagers but I can remember in June seeing a few restaurants that had them. Were mainly the old fashioned wooden sort not the Steelcraft metal & plastic type.
I also suggest that in case you are anywhere & use these sorts that you maybe take a harness to strap your little one in with.At 18 months they are pretty active & able to escape & possibly hurt themselves. Our son fell out of a shopping trolley once at about this age & it scared the living daylights out of me,they can be so quick. If you don't already have a baby harness & can't borrow a decent one them the Nursing Mothers Association sells THE best ones.I think they may have a new name for the association these days but I'm sure you'll be able to find out.Hope you & your little one have a wonderful time .
BTW - don't forget to take baby strength sunblock & hats for the little ones well as keeping up her fluids -water & plenty of it is THE best & take baby gastrolyte with you in case of an upset tummy.
The little ones can burn & dehydrate so easily & aren't able to tell us.Also one of those sunshirts for around the pool wouldn't go amiss.Sorry if I'm waffling on,it's the protective Mum bit coming out <LOL> Heaven help me when I become a Grandma !
