both were worth visiting - and both are so different. Lovinia very quiet for a single traveller ( whos not really into frequenting bars) but beach lovely and looking around lovinia worthwhile. Ubud is a personal favourite- more people around and lots to see and do.
See if you can fit in both. On way to lovinia I went via munduk ( coffee plantations, lakes, countryside to photograph) and stopped in at Banjar Hot springs and Buddhist monastry. Theres also munduk waterfalls if you are up to it.
Can you do two nights in each?
