I think that it maybe difficult to discuss issues by type.
Somewhere along the road - regarding your initial post and then
my reply, we got off it and ended up down some dirt road.
I also don't like being accused of, or misrepresented on some
things that I seem to have been recently.
I was not the one that started the "soft meaty stuff" thing,
although I put my hand up tall and straight as using it to
have some fun - with the other people on the forum that have
also found it to be funny as well - they have been laughing.
But as you see, I have made a promise to marcia that I will
not use the word "soft meaty stuff" again, or I will owe her
some free tours.
As for the thing on STAG, you will no doubt see a reply post
above to Jake. I really think that the archives are underrated
as a source of great information. Again I put up my hand tall
and straight as someone that has used the term, yet I have NEVER
aimed anything personally at anyone that I have suggested to
search first, ask questions later. I have received replies
with things like pi**ing people off and other derogatory comments,
yet at no time have I got so personal - again if you find one
send it to me and I'll put my hand up and say sorry (and pass out
the free tour passes).
Of course I like to have a laugh and a joke, it is just looking
like these days that the joking is only allowed when it suits.
Its a bit like xxx can have a joke, but dam yyy if he has a joke.
Let he who casts the first stone ... (and I'm not religious !)
Is it click syndrome maybe ??
Maybe as I indicated in my 'point reply to you' (did you read it ?),
we needed to have our discussion over a Bintang at Nuri's. I don't
mind taking on a hot topic from time to time.
So, with half the issue (not problem) maybe solved, we will just
have to learn to live with each other regarding what ever the other
half is.
