It is absolutely fantastic & there is so much to see & do in the local area.I like Ubud for shopping ,the spa's or if you want to go WWR again but as far as we are concerned Lovina can't be beaten.The people are just great & so friendly.I can put you in touch with Aussie & Dutch friends who live in the area if you wish.We always run out of time in Lovina - these days it's a rush for us with 4 days but we try to spend plenty of time with friends.Unfortunately I was crook with the flu when we were in Lovina last trip so it wasn't quiet as busy as we planned.
I can recommend a great place at fantastic rates that's owned by an Aussie - Rambutan Cottages.Really close to the main street & the beach but away from the nightclubs noise.Quite a few forumites have stayed there this year & really like the place.I think I sent photos & a report to Mic's site.
We both love the area & so does our 13 year old son.If you look back in June archives under my name & Lovina you should see some of my reports.If you do decide to go to Lovina & want more info contact me anytime .I have business cards I collected of shops & restaurants we liked.
With Lovina if you want to party there are nightclubs,if you want quiet it's there,snorkelling,culture,great food & shopping at good prices.Personally I think it beats Ubud hands down but the main reason we go to Ubud these days is to catch up with close friends.It's a case of each to his own though.
