and the 12 nights will go really fast. We loved staying at a little place called Villa Agung in the village of Anturan on the north coast, a few formites have stayed there and enjoyed it too. It's part of the 12 km or so stretch along the coast called Lovina and has villages running along it. We loved the place as it was absolutely 3 steps from the beach, it's a small hotel, but the restaurant was lovely, also the staff and you can organise a trip through Nyoman Suartana, the manager to go out in a traditional boat snorkling or an early morning trip to look for dolphins. It cost us about A$15 a room and we took 2 rooms for our son and ourselves and included the best included-in-tarrif breakfast we had in bali - their warm banana cake is delicious! Very relaxing and a different part of Bali than the south. You can drive a few different ways to the north coast, all of them are spectacular in their own ways. If you want to read more about our stay in lovina put in juba anne in the search and look at JBR's 2-5. We'd recommend Ubud too as it has some interesting walks, the market is great and of an evening you can enjoy going to a traditional dance performance. Enjoy your stay, if you don't get to the north coast this time, maybe next!.
