you should know how unnatural it is for horses to be stationary on a hot road without grazing or water all day!!!! There digestive systems are geared for constant grazing and adequate water intake to prevent gastric problems. Standing in the sun while their drivers sit on the opposite side of the road in the shade.
Then when they are put to work they poor faces are directly under car exhaust fumes carrying fat tourists to their hotels. You would also be aware how sensative their respiratory tracks can be too.
I personally am sickened each and every time I see the poor ponies and as I also am a horse person and live on a horse property - and i can tell you that none of the Australian horses I have seen (including the seized RSPCA horse and foal that I looked after) have had to endure conditions like those poor ponies.
So I find it incredulous that you would not consider their existance sad and cruel.
