You just missed a huge Continental Sale. Got $692 from EWR but was just over $800 out of Tampa so would have likely be similar out of S FL. My husband and I comute to and from NJ, so we could have done either way.
We are leaving on 9/1 Continetal via Guam to DPS. Try Eva, Korean Airlines, JAL and Emirates. You may also want to set-up a farewatcher on Travelocity.com, but found the fares there and Orbitz to be much higher than on the actual websites so check each airline individually. Don't know if priceline is worth a shot or not, but fares would have been in the $800 range from FLL a few weeks ago so might be worth a shot.
