Sorry to hear about the troubles Shopaholic, hopefully everything will be fine tomorrow.
Problem with Garuda (and any other carrier with troubles in another country) is that they don't really have the infrastructure to cope with these types of problems. That is everything from spare parts to customer relations people to make sure passengers are kept informed.
Another interesting thing is that Garuda seem to have alot of problems with Perth but not the rest of Australia. Is that becuase they are running the older 737 planes in Perth and their new (larger) Airbus planes on the Melbourne & Sydney routes?
