Massage is of course pretty popular. I tried one on the beach outside the Jayakarta we stayed in a mates apartment in the residents section). She wanted 50 000, but I got her down to 38000. For that I got a 20 minute massage with sand based exfoliation included. I was also entertained throughout that time by all her friends selling me stuff.
A few days later, I decided to try a massage by the hotel pool. This was 82500 for a full hour, with the added sand or selling. Wonderful and relaxing, so I know where my preferences are and what I think value is.
Also had my first ever full spa treatment bought for me by my wife for my birthday. Included massage, facial (with cucumbers!), a body scrub, being painted in yoghurt and a bath with rose petals (rude comments NOT allowed, it was a present!!). I really enjoyed it and it was well worth the $60 aussie paid. My wife also took me to La Lucciola for dinner that night and that was equally as good.
