about it in 1998 when we were in Lombok for a week and were told it was mainly in the secluded parts where the surfers go. A pity to cancel especially if you aren't going to just go for the surfing. We went to beautiful Gumbang Bay and that was pretty remote, we hired a driver through a tour company and there were 8 of us we also went to Gili Air from Lombok.
