My first day JBR was accidentally deleted,typed my password incorrectly,be careful, the first version was much better,sorry. I forget to mention how much I enjoy reading everyone's Just Back Reports! It helps so much to prepare you for your trip, then when you get back it helps to ease the bali blues..........
Day 2: Got up early in the AM and took both the boys surfing out front of Padma St. It only seems to get at high tide but then it gets pretty crowded. Kids had a great time nonetheless. After the usual Garden View breakfast we went to Ubud. I was really surprised at how agressive the monkeys were at the monkey forest. The times I was there in the past they were much more docile. We had a couple of close calls. One even tried to steal my wifes bag of goodies that she had bought. Great photo opportunity, kids were excited!
We had a delicious lunch at Murni's. Beautiful atmosphere! Tranquil and relaxing....
Then on to the Reptile Park. We don't have any snakes in Hawaii, so the kids were in wide eyed wonder. Another great photo op. the boys holding all kinds of creatures. the highlight had to be the Cobra! He was very aggressive and would try to bite thru the glass. Nice videos of that!
Back to Kuta and dinner at a place called Joni's. I don't know if we just had a rare bad dinner but my younger son had calamari that was foul! I don't know how they could have served it. Wife's mexican food wasn't all that great either. Band was very loud,had to scream across the table. Didn't go back there again........
Thought of my day: This trip to bali I don't miss my wife and kids,oh yeah, that is because they are here with me! :-)
