I looked fairly closely into acidopolous and Yakult with a gastro-intestinal specialist. I use Somac, which is a medication to stop your stomach producing acid. According to the specialist I spoke in some depth to, I wouuld benefit from the Yakult & Acidopolous, BUT for anyone else with a normal stomach PH, IT COULD NOT POSSIBLY HAVE ANY BENEFITS AT ALL. THAT IS WHAT YOUR STOMACH ACID IS FOR, to destroy any bacteria (good or bad) that you happen to eat.
I'm not claiming any knowledge at all, just what this big-wig expert had to tell me.
