Like most hotels nowadays the Alila promotes "villas" which are not more than hotel suites. Often there is no decent living/dining room, you don't have a kitchen, and certainly not a private cook. All meals and drinks are charged at hotel rates i.e. about 4 times higher than in a real villa.
The rates for one-bedroom accommodation are more than you would pay for a real villa with 2 or 3 bedrooms, all staff and a car with driver included.
