I booked 32 people into La Lucciola in April this year about 4 days out. Being April it would be slower than September so you may take the advice of others and ring in adavance or do it when you arrive.
As for tables, maximum is 8. We had 4 tables of 8 all grouped together on the terrace down the front. Best spot for sunset views and a cool evening breeze.
