It is a fantastic hotel. Staff unbelievably friendly (like all Balinese) and beautiful grounds. Pool area great, swim up bar (expensive) but everything exceptionally well maintained. Rooms are spacious, some a little tired ( by 5 star standards) but absolutley fine none the less. If you get upgraded to a deluxe room from standard, they are exactly the same layout, but probably a bit better maintained with newer furnishings etc.
The breakfast has to be seen to be believed. I don't think there is anything they don't have! Full asian brekkie including nasi goreng, chicken porridge etc, every type of pastry you could imagine, bircher muesli, every type of fruit, cold meats and salad, waffles, pancakes with custard and maple syrup, any type of eggs or omelete cooked to order, potatoes, bacon - just unbelievable!!!
When I was there a week or so ago, the hotel was at 100% so they also had the Singaraja restuarant open for breakfast which overlooks the grounds and the beach. It is a beautiful open sided restaurant that is like eating at Raffles in Singapore - truly indulgent. And as brekkie is included in the tarriff, you can decide where you want to eat it!
The hotel has all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star plus pool side massage tents, sunset bar, spa, gym, salon etc etc etc.
As mentioned in my post above, we didn't eat or drink there (small store across the road where you can buy your Bintang or mixes for your duty free), as there are plenty of cheap places within wlaking distance or short cab ride.
You will love it!!!
