ABC radio yesterday afternoon. They pointed out that the frightening thing about it is the fact that unlike other allegies it can take days to develop/show, and that in fact what people believe is an infection is actually THE allergic reaction. Apparently there is absolutely no warning signs to allert you to becoming sensatized. Long term it also means that you can never never dye your hair black. ( OK for those of us who just bleach!) A large amount of hairdressers become unable to continue because of developing terrible allergies to it, and it really has devastating affects on their lives and livelihoods.
