Have just returned from 2 weeks in Bali (not long enough!!!) and for part of our stay had a few days at the Watergarden in Candi Dasa. This was one of the most relaxing and peaceful places we have ever stayed at. The Japanese pavilion style accommodation is on 3 tiers, with the pavilions all surrounding water ponds full of some of the biggest koi I have ever seen! The lush gardens give each pavilion complete privacy from your "neighbours" and are absolutely stunning. There is a fantastic restaurant, and the food is very reasonably priced. So for a few days to put your feet up, I can highly recommend it. Very romantic, ideal for couples.....
Only one little hassle staying in Candi Dasa - the local money changers wont exchange Visa travellers cheques without a copy of your receipt from the bank....!!
