just had a look at websites. it doesn't seem to have changed much at all. Some websites described terraced gardens etc and a 'restaurant', none of which is true. The grounds are miniscule though very pretty so hardly enough room for the expansive terraced gardens description. Or enough room to build a restaurant. 'Restaurant' is a couple of tables on small terrace.
Also one website said 'bath and shower'. Not all rooms have a bath.
If you decide to book i'd advise paying no more than $40 a.u. per room -not per person- as it is about a 2 star.
They still have their 'Javanese safe' it seems. Lol. I did love this hotel though.
