She a lovely person who helps when ever she can.She's made a lot of friends here including myself.She posts very useful info including her very detailed restaurant list.Just because someone is a regular here & helps a lot - doesn't mean they are a know all.It means that they are a kind,helpful,sharing person & enjoy being here.I think you were especially rude with the old hag bit !
You maybe need to realise that many of us here have either met each other or know each other fairly well.I suppose you have also taken offence at the crazy joking around that TonyG,Sinter,KarenL,myself & many others have been doing on Spam.Sometimes a serious post can take a joking turn by one poster making a funny comment & it takes off from there.KarenL & myself have had discussions on this & also on the point that what a friend says to you as a joke can be viewed as rude if a stranger says the same thing.IE - I tell my friends to pull their head in BUT I wouldn't say that to a stranger.You spoke very rudely to a stranger.If you did know LynneD she would have come back with a funny smart alec comment to you.Blimey we've even had regulars teasing each other about their luggage & a certain perfume that is the same name as a forumite.Pretty much everyone here enjoys a joke but you weren't joking.
Myself & other regulars have at times been previously accused of similar things to what you are calling LynneD but why does anyone have to be nasty.
I don't think you've been on the forum for long & I think you first posted asking for advice for a 23 year old travelling on her own.You had 6 people reply.Regular forumites were nice to you so why go the attack ? Everyone is entitled to their opinion & should tolerate others if they disagree but rudeness should not enter into it.Chill out & don't be a meanie !
Sorry all for waffling on so long BUT I really like LynneD & I think it sucks how she was personally attacked.
