My daughter had a creambath treatment (shoulder and head massage with conditioning treatment - one hour, 80,000) and I had a Relaxing Aromatherapy massage (one hour, 120,000) which was really just the usual bali massage. The rooms led back from entrance on Rum Jungle Road a bit like entering a rabbit warren. My daughter's treatment was good, she said, and my massage was good as far as massages go, but there was no ambience at all. I was led into a small room with a massage table and small cabinet in it, one small high window, a bit stuffy and airless. No flowers or incense or quiet music or wallhangings or pictures - as bare as a nun's cell. I stripped to knickers as instructed and lay on the table. No little covering for discreetness as she massaged. She did check a few times that the massage was alright. I asked for the electric fan up on the wall to be turned on but it was clattery and distracting. My daughter was in the next room and I could clearly hear her whole conversation with the girl there, so I never got to that 'drifting off till I drool' space I sometimes reach during a massage. Basically the staff were lovely, but the environment was disappointing.
