Got back last week. Tried to pay VOA with credit card, but the line kept dropping out, waiting for authorisation of my credit card details. After the 2nd attempt and 10 minutes later, the people behind were becoming a bit impatient, so I paid in Aust dollars.
The visa official converted the USD to Rupiah and then to AUD. He then gave me change in Rupiah. I think I lost a bit on the deal, but what the heck.
