Went biz class last year - Qantas - Melb to LA return.
I just wore geans and a t-shirt (nice ones though)
Also went Biz Melb to Bali return about 4 weeks back - just had shorts
and T-shirt both ways. That was on Garuda.
No problems.
The only time I ever got an upgrade was a flight from Bris to M'dore
Got 1A !
Then again, there was only about 6 people on the flight (that was
for biz, so had shirt and tie ... maybe helped.
I do lots of Melb - Adel for work, never got upgrade on that route,
tie or no tie.
