we used the money changer in the bookstore/dvd shop in the main st (not Monkey Forest rd)..sorry can't remember it's name. The shop was on the opposite side of the road and only a few minutes walk from the Lotus restaurant. Sorry this is a bit vague, but they gave a good rate and were honest.
