Hey,
I have stayed at the MBR in 2000, and am staying there again this year in Septemeber/October. I fully reccomend this place going on my last visit.
The rooms were big, clean, and service was great. It is one of the few places with a 24 hour restaurant, it isn't located too close to the busy streets of kuta, but isn't too far away and is a simple taxi ride away.
There are local shops as you step outside the gates on one side and the beach on the other.
