Yes I did check out our rooms first without luggage. The rooms which all have balconies, either face a very large garden area or the boundary of the hotel. They are in a double U configaration. Sometimes you can hear noise from upstairs and the only way to avoid that would to be on the 3rd floor. ( the highest) bathroom is not big but the whole layout of the resort is superb with the pool right on a white sandy beach. Santika and Kartika Plaza do not run down to the beach in the same way, they both have a breakwater in front so are up higher than the beach and swimming in front of these hotels is a little difficult.
