Hi,I took 4 & 6 yr old last July and we stayed at Taman Harum near Ubud - great for 1st stop and families, but no kids club. We then stayed at Bali Hai in Tuban which has a small kids club. My 4 yr old liked it but my 6 yr old got a bit bored. We might try Dynasty which has a big kids club next year. There is lots of info on this forum and also on " Bali for Families " forum on both these hotels and more.
Beach at Kuta is great for boogie boarding for all ages. Beach at Tuban is not.
Spending money - obviously depends on how much shopping you do and where you eat - but Aus $100 a day is a rough guide.
