dont know about you but i wouldnt expect to be holding or needing US$ going to any country other than the US and her dependancys. It is hardly there fault if they didnt have them - indonesia is hardly a backwater (though it sometimes behaves like one) so the expectation of people arriving in their country from around the world and having the currency of a third country is a bit much. I mean a lot opf the high end hotels in bali show their restaurant prices in US$ but you still pay for it in local currency - I suppose these peoples expectation may have been the same.
