If, like us you have to overnight to connect with domestic (night in Melbourne as no late flights into Tassie a lot), your international insurance covers that extra day (or two) as well.
Last travel agent, and the senior one he referred to, both said NO, have to take out domestic insurance!
I literally had to ring the underwriters and ask them to ring the travel agent and set them straight. far out... breathe in...breathe out!
As it is a part of the trip and in our case, a necessicity (sp?) it is included but the travel agent wanted a seperate domestic policy (min 4 or 7 days) costing a bomb. If I hadn't been so upset I would have asked for deposit back and changed travel agents.
