That you have to spend the whole holiday worrying about the weight of your luggage. It is no longer a bargain when you have to pay to get it home.
In June I went with my wife and two daughters and thought we would need to hire a plane just for their shopping.
There does not seem to be any set rules and it is so hard to give advice on this subject. We were 20Kg over, 5Kg each, the guy at check in gave us an excess slip and sent us to an office to pay. Lots of smiles from me with my daughter as a back up who was going to turn on the water works if required. Not needed.
We were told no charge and we were on our way. Others had to pay for similar excess,how do you figure it out.
