I told the agent I wanted a 30 day holiday. She had to fish around getting matching flights there and back, but eventually sorted it out. Weeks afterwards when we had our tickets and everything, I realised we had been booked for 31 days.
The agent told me that my options were either coming back a few days earlier [because of the heavily booked flights] or getting extended visas. I told her that no way were we coming back early and she could do the running around for the visas and bear the extra cost [which she did].
Goodness knows what size "donation" it would have taken to have been able to stay in Bali, or whether that is even possible under the circumstances.
