If you set up GR and take your ph with you, AND friends at home ph you, you pay and they pay - because the call in put through as a toll call.
Better to change your message to say you are on holiday and email you at ....@.... or leave a message and you will reply when you get back.
AND while in Bali pick a sim card - cheap and have credit on them - to use while you are away.
I found it very useful to be able to ph shops for directions when the driver could not find them - and some of them are very hard to find. Also good for texting requests for pickup by your driver - most drivers have phones. Calls cost (me, anyway) 1700rp per minute and 850rp for text (I think, seemed very cheap anyway) *123# snd was the only instruction I could work out from the manual - in Bahasa - and that gave me the remaining credit. Handy to know.
When you leave Bali, make someone's day and give them your sim.
kind regards,
Simon
